Australasian Legal Information Institute
AustLII is a free online source of extensive Australian legal information, set up by the Faculties of Law at the University of Technology, Sydney and the University of New South Wales.
Australian Securities & Investments Commission
ASIC is responsible for regulating corporations, financial markets and financial services and offers guidance and protection to consumers and investors deciding on financial products.
Australian Securities Exchange
ASX is Australia's main securities exchange and regulates other companies listed on the exchange.
Australian Taxation Office
The ATO, Australia's principle revenue collection agency, is responsible for administering legislation for taxes, superannuation and excise (not including customs duty).
Department of Commerce Western Australia
The Western Australian Department of Commerce oversees consumer protection, safety and protection standards for employees and assists with business innovations and enterprise.
Department of Mines and Petroleum Western Australia
The Western Australian Department of Mines and Petroleum (DMP) is responsible for encouraging private investment in resources exploration and extraction in the state. Responsible for collecting royalties, it also regulates the extractive industries and the use of dangerous goods, monitoring compliance with health and safety and environmental standards.
Department of Treasury and Finance Western Australia
The Western Australian Department of Treasury and Finance administers state revenue legislation and controls building management and works for the state, including large infrastructure projects through the Office of Strategic Projects.

The Foreign Investment Review Board (FIRB) reviews foreign investment interests in Australia, making recommendations to the government based on each proposal's suitability and compliance with foreign investment policy.
IP Australia
IP Australia governs Australia's intellectual property, administering patents, trade marks, designs and plant breeder's rights. Offering security for innovation, it promotes the trade and investment in knowledge and technology.
Landgate
Landgate is the Western Australian government's department of land and property information. Responsible for maintaining the state's register of land ownership and survey information, it also values state land and property.
